Incontinence Clamps (for men) Part 2

Incontinence clamps Part 2

or clamps are devices that are engineered to help prevent involuntary urine passing caused by OAB or Over Active Bladder; thereby proving to be yet another useful instrument in male incontinence management and control. Clamps come in many designs and are made of different materials, but they are all constructed with one purpose in mind: eliminating the involuntary passing of urine through applying light external pressure on men and shutting off the urethra. With the overall increase in the age of people living today, more and more males are seeing expanding life spans that continue to grow with the passing of each and every year, however, with aging comes a number of issues that must acquire attention—medical attention. It’s unfortunate that over 90% of males will have some type of problem with their prostate gland who reaches the age of seventy-five, according to some researchers.

This type of problem can have a direct impact on male urine management. The inability to control urine release or urine leakage can be a side effect from prostate surgery. No longer able to control urine passing can prove to be devastating to say the least for many men. It’s not uncommon for men suffering from this type of problem to experience deep psychological and emotional problems. The embarrassment associated with being unable to control involuntary urine passing is often catastrophic for many and down right disturbing for others.

Many males that were outgoing and self confident become reclusive and self conscious when they are unable to control the involuntary passing of urine. Oftentimes, emotional insecurity begins to set in where there was none before urine management became a problem. However, with today’s advancement in research and development: physicians, surgeons, nurse practitioners, engineers, scientist, and the input of patients and laymen alike; much progress has been made both medically and through product development. And it is through technology that many new medical procedures are now in place that didn’t even exist just a few years ago
